1. so i sing at church here in tallahassee and this morning we had a really cool moment... we were all on the same brainwave or something... it was way cool... a very god-centric moment.
2. at work i taught this little old grandmother how to belay for her grandson and his friend. she was adorable and so scared, but it was really fun getting to see the look on her face when she got it right... she was so proud of herself. sometimes i forget that old people are people, too... the brightness behind her eyes was so sweet and pure... like a little kid excited to show his mom the drawing he did at school.
3. i wore a pretty, new blue dress that made me feel pretty and girlie and wonderful. super good self-esteem day!
miss you girls. i'm so sad i didn't get to hang with all of you while i was home... don't write me out of your lives, ok?
love you to the moon.

3 Good Things
i found a blog online called 3 for 365 in which the author posts 3 good things that happened to her each day for 365 days, and i thought it was a pretty interesting concept.
sooooo, i think it would be fun for us to try it. whenever you all read this, i want you to think of 3 good things that have happened to you thus far today and write them out in a new post.
if nothing else, it will help us forget about our daily stresses for a minute and reflect on the good things in life.
i will start:
1. i finished a painting that i had been working on for a few days.
2. i had chips & salsa from salsarita's...which is my favorite!
3. at 11:25 tonight i realized that mary-kate was going to be on the david letterman show, and turned my tv on just in time to see her interview :) lol
ok now your all's turn!

inspiration
hello friends!
i am feeling very inspired this weekend to paint, and i wanted to share some of my inspiration with ya'll. if you haven't seen it yet, check out www.etsy.com. i spend hours at a time on this site searching through all of the neat handmade artwork and other goodies that people have to offer. i have also recently decided that i'm going to make my own shop on there to make a little extra money, so i'll keep ya'll updated with that. another current obsession of mine is robots. i dunno why, but i have been obsessed with anything relating to robots all of the sudden. here are some prints from some of my favorite artists on etsy that i'm currently craving...enjoy!

thoughts
So I'm not really sure about this blogging thing, but one thing I do know it that I like that it keeps us all in touch.
As y'all all know from Caitlin's earlier post, we saw sex and the city the movie. What you may not know is that I've been watching a lot of sex and the city myself (thanks to the good people at netflix). My favorite part of the show is when Carrie goes back to her apartment and writes something based on something one of the girls has said. In an episode I watched last night, Carrie says, "Is Miranda right? Is everything just timing?" Long story short: That question had made me think. I don't know yalls thoughts on it, but think about this. A little food for thought if you will.
I don't know if timing makes life's experiences or if the experiences you choose make timing what it is.
Think about it, timing, circumstances...it's what life is made of. I think about all these little things that could have gone so differently if timing was just even an hour off. It's baffling.
We could all be in completely different places in our lives right now, hell, we may not even all be friends. But don't thoughts like that just make you grateful for the timing you've been given? I know I am because I don't know if time could have given me a better life.

updates!
ok, so it seems like the summer traveling has begun and everyone has started to go their separate ways, so here's an update on everyone's whereabouts...
brooke left last friday for zimbabwe. i am on an email list and i receive updates from the leaders of the trip and they sent one out the other day saying that the entire group and all of their luggage had arrived safely, and that everything was going as planned so far, so that's good! she gets back on june 19th (anyone that's in town want to go with me to the airport to greet her??! it's at 2pm).
grace left last week for alaska for a mission trip with tyler's church (building igloos, i suppose) and gets back sometime this week i think.
hannah left today for africa...she and brooke are only a country apart, i believe. i think she is there for 2 weeks, if i'm not mistaken. she is there for a mission trip as well.
kathryn leaves on tuesday the 10th for her 30-day european adventure with hayley martin. she and hayley will be with a large group of college students traveling all over europe and seeing all the famous landmarks/attractions. and hopefully she'll meet a cute european boy with an accent :)
rachael got back last week from michigan, where she was visiting her boyfriend Michael. he is coming to visit her june 18th i think (correct me if i'm wrong) and staying here in knoxville with her for a few days, so hopefully most of us will get to meet him then!
and then there's me... i haven't really gone anywhere exciting yet (a scrapbooking tour of virginia with my mom does not count), but i am going up to lexington this weekend to visit all my friends from school, so i'm pretty excited about that. nothing near as exciting as the rest of ya'lls trips though!
anyway, there's a little update. hopefully everyone will start posting on here and talk about their adventures first hand, because that would be much more interesting to hear about! and monet and ali, please post and tell us what's going on in your lives!! we miss you girls so much! peace out!
